Turlough O’Carolan was a blind harpist who traveled all over Ireland performing his classical-like pieces for his audiences. John Whelan taught us Madam Maxwell many years ago with his counterpoint that he wrote and recorded on From the Heart featuring Jerry O’Sullivan; the two parts fit together to create a beautiful duet.
