Music in the Glen/Maids of Castlebar/Reconciliation
Artists: Emilie Carroll, Nora Carroll, Sammy Wetstein, Neil Pearlman, Conor Hearn
Named after our three little cousins, this set was the first that we fully arranged with John Whelan’s help. We learned Music in the Glen from Jeanne Freeman, and Nora played the middle tune, Maids of Castlebar, with her Fleadh duet partner when they competed in the 2018 All Ireland Competition in Drogheda. Reconciliation is a common session tune we love to play. This set has evolved a lot over the years, including in the studio when Neil added some Rhodes electric piano.
